Elitebook 2730p webcam access

I have installed the latest webcam driver sp44340 "Chicony Camera Driver 5.8.39017.0" and Device Manager indicates that the HP Webcam [2MP] is working properly. However, I can't see the camera in either 'Devices and Printers' or 'Scanners and Cameras'. Will it not appear in either of those utilities?

Is there a HP Windows 7 app that will provide access to the webcam?

I have the same problem.   Did you find a solution?

In fact, I reinstalled Windows Vista and all drivers from the cds that came with the computer - and the webcam is still not working...

I have the same problem. HP Elitebook 2730p, win7 x86-64, the webcam doesn't work at all. Not even shown in the control panel nor the device manager...
