Can anyone advise me where I can safely download a USER MANUAL for my Compaq nc4400 I just purchased second hand. (Used)

I'm afraid to use an insecure site!!  Also can anyone tell me what hours of charge I should expect to see on screen for a fully charged battery? This one is only showing 30 mins!!!!. Guess it needs replacing right? ;-) Please advise me on best battery type for my model . Thanks Bart.

Hi Bart1,

You may download manuals from the secure HP web support portal for your notebook in the manuals section.

 

Since you bought it second hand and it is only providing 30 minutes then it is a good idea to replace the battery with a new standard capacity or higher battery.There is no need to purchase an OEM HP part. Try to find one that has more than the standard 4400mah rating.

Hi There, I'm pleased to say I was able to  aquire the Manual for my Compaq nc4400 from your site (AS A SIMPLE PDF FILE! IDEAL THANKS!)

but I did not understand the following tip! You sent me!!!!!! -

...: Don't forget to create recovery media (recovery disk set or USB thumbdrive recovery media). That is the copy of the operating system and drivers that you paid for

Can you please explain what this means and what I have to do  ~ and the reason for it.! ;-)
