G62 recovery

Hi my notebook g62 was reformated a while back via the recovery partition.

 

I went to do a reinstall today and it reboots to start the process but i now get an error saying its unable to use the HDD and i have to use the recovery disks

 

any reason why the recovery process has stopped using the HDD???
