I have an HP zv5000 laptop running WinXP Home SP3, and I'm finally getting around to cleaning off all the stuff that came on it. The one that has me stumped is Quicken.
The properties for the Uninstall shows that it executes C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShiels\Driver\7\Inter 32\Driver.exe /m{a string of numbers that refer to a registry item dealing with the icon} anything /z"remove"
Clicking the item in the start menu, and trying to remove it through Add/Remove programs does the same thing: WinXP tries to open the installshield, gets about halfway through, and closes.
Anyone have any ideas about how to remove this from my system?

With Vista, if you never have run Quicken, then it is not on your machine. Just remove it from the programs menu.
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Hewlett-Packard\Shared\WizLink.exe" http://redirect.hp.com/svs/rdr?TYPE=4&tp=onlinesvs
You could try PowerTools by JV16, as it does a nice job of cleaning up the hive.

Please note that both the question body and the tags say specifically Windows XP Home, SP3. I can OPEN Quicken just fine, so the software is there.
Anyone else?
