I just bought a HP Pavilion dv4-1308ca Entertainment Notebook PC for my brother. We went through the HP setup and installed HP Help and Support software. However, we opted NOT to install Norton Security Centre. Everytime the computer boots up, it reminds us to activate Norton. Is Norton already installed and waiting for activation? If this is the case, do I have to uninstall Norton? If not, how would I go about deactivating the reminder message? I'm assuming that the HP Help and Support software is constantly reminding us to activate Norton. Also, if Norton is installed, I'm aware of how to uninstall Norton.
As a side note, is it worthwhile having the HP Help and Support software enabled? From past experience, the added software that comes with a new PC/Laptop causes more headache and grief. Just wondering what other PC gurus think and would removing this void any type of warranty?
Thanks.

Norton comes preinstalled, it should show up in Control Panel, Programs as an option to uninstall. HP Help and Support is I suppose user choice.
