HP Pavilion dv9500
Intel(R) Core(TM) 2Duo CPU T5250 @1.50GHz
Memory (RAM) 2.00 GB
32-bit operating system
Windows Vista Home-Premium
Service Pack 1
After many disappointments and gastritis, I have decided to return to XP until MicroSoft comes out with a better product.
I tried to format my laptop with my XP CD, but the formatting option won't appear. Can you please help me ?

On Intel Chipset laptops with SATA hdd,you have to supply the driver_either using F6 option and a USB Floppy or my preferred method of slipstreaming the driver and burning a new XP cd.
This is the sata driver for your machine:
Download and run it,make a floppy OR cancel floppy creation. The files will be extracted to C:\Swsetup\sp37005 to use with Nlite.
You can use Nlite to integrate the drivers into a new XP install cd.Nlite will even burn the new XP cd.
