Hi,
i have an HP 530 notebook pc which was preloaded with Vista OS. So i need to
know wether is possible to unistall the preloaded Vista and install Windows
XP, and if it possible how do i go about it - because i've tried it several
times and kept on giving me the error message: 'Setup did not find any hard
disk ...'
The reason for unistalling Vista is that most of the application softwares
that I'm using for my academics are not compatible with Vista Operating
System.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
First make Vista backup. Here are informations about it.
If you don't have XP with SP2 then download it from here and slipstream it with nLite.
Check this guide how to do it.
Then download sata driver for your machine from here
run it, make a floppy or cancel floppy creation. The files will be extracted to C:\Swsetup\sp37005 to use it again with nLite.
You can use nLite to integrate the drivers into a new XP install CD. nLite will even burn the new XP CD.
Here You have guide how to do it.
All drivers for XP to your laptop model here.
