Hi, I have HP 500 laptop and i've recently installed Windows 7 on it.
I checked on HP website and the drivers are only for WinXP.
Actually windows update hooked me up an all of the drivers now installed EXCEPT audio & modem.
I don't need the modem at all but I MUST HAVE AUDIO on this laptop

Start>>Run>>devmgmt.msc>>Enter
In Device manager
Right Click Mouse button>>Select Properties (Ethernet Properties)
In Detail Tab
in Property (ComboBox)
Copy Hardware ID
Eg,.
(PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&SUBSYS_04471028&REV_02
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&SUBSYS_04471028
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&CC_020000
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&CC_0200)
Just to make shur, you are using Windows 7 32bit edition right?

Tell me,
is there any way to get a grpahics driver for the same laptop so AERO will work
Intel states that i915GMS/910GM does not support windows 7
windows update indeed installed microsoft's driver but is there vista/7 proper driver for my Graphics Card ?

i am Glad tht it worked... ![]()
abt Intel 915 Graphics...
Aero Effects need Graphics Card with atleast Shader Model Version 2.0
Intel 915 has no Pixel shader thats why no drivers will work to run this Areo transperency Appereance...
Regards,
EverWin
