Go to http://support.hp.com, find your product, click Drivers, then Windows 7 32 or 64-bit dependant on what you have, and at the very bottom there's a patch for the Recovery Manager that should bring it back.

Based on that, then there is no patch (currently) available.
It does say on the instructions to ensure you have Recovery discs before you upgrade. However, if your recovery partition is still in tact, then you can still access it by pressing F11 when you see the HP logo at startup, or you can order recovery discs directly from HP by following the instructions at:

Yea, basically. There's no working program for your laptop so it seems that you can use from within Windows 7.
However, if you have problems, recovery discs will work. As well, if your recovery partition still exists, you can still access it by pressing F11 when you see the HP logo at startup.

sadly, HP does not have the Recovery Manager patch for dv2000 running on Windows 7 64-bit. ![]()
Hope they have it soon.
