HP DV6-6b12ed Fingerprint reader not detected. [ Edited ]

I have a HP DV6-6b12ed with Windows 7 Premium 64-bit.

Everything works except my Fingerprint reader.

I've tried installing drivers from the HP support & drivers website, but didn't work.

I've tried installing software like Simplepass Identify Protection and DigitalPersona Digital.

But when I try to configure my fingerprint it says it's not detected! (See screenshot below).

Also when I start windows, It says it's scanning for the fingerprint reader, eventually it says not detected.

I've no idea what's causing the problem, when I go to Device manager it says the biometric devices is correctly installed ( with no "!" in it).

Most likely I've to install the correct supporting driver, but I'm getting the idea the one from the HP support site doesn't install correctly for some reason, because the installation seems to be interrupted or something...

The fix that was threaded from here doesn't make any sense. My fingerprint reader is not detected, but all drivers are installed and everything seems correct. What do I do? I am running 64-bit Windows 7
