HP G70-111ea XP drivers help

can any one point me in the direction of the drivers for win xp, i have vista premium on it now and its running very slow, in fact i hate vista and simply know xp would really enhance this laptop. any help would be appreciated

Have you gone here and tried everything yet? Vista running slowly is a performance issue and you will probably make the same mistakes and causes XP to run just as slowly.Simple things like cleaning up the Temp folder can help in a big way/

Installing XP on a Vista PC is not a cure all.

The first and most difficult thing for most people is finding out which chipset your laptop has on its motherboard, Once that is known, then the proper drivers can usually be easily found. You can find out what chipset is installed by downloading CPU-Z and running it. After that is done you can post that informatiuon here.

the reason vista runs slow compared to xp is because its so power hungry, its not that i dont look after the os cos i do, its simply cos i want to replace vista, so i need the xp drivers if any one can point me in the right direction

VISTA has a significant increase of performance in VISTA SP1, hopefully it would getting better for SP2.

XP has the best compatibility with any software and hardware up to this date.

Please do not compare VISTA and XP direclty, VISTA demands more power but also deliver more features compared to XP.

If you still would to use XP as your OS, try the following steps and drivers

Make your Vista Recovery cd/dvd if you haven't yet, see here

Your model needs ICH9 sata driver to be sliptreamed onto XP CD installer.

Use Nlite to sliptream ICH9 sata driver.
A good guide to sliptream sata driver, here

Note: do NOT use sata driver from that guide, your sata driver is ICH9 given below.

The driver is located in iaAHCI.inf and is called ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller, here

Some suggestions to avoid problems while installing XP:

1. Use XP-SP2, a lot more easy to use since many of XP drivers were built based on XP-SP2.

2. Burn XP installer slowly and not using the maximum speed, sometimes it create errors

3. Choose a reputable CD media, not the cheap one.

MS-UAA (required with a reboot before Intel Video-HDMI, Audio and modem drivers), here

Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family Graphics (with HDMI audio driver), here

Conexant SmartAudio 221 (fix microphone problem by forum user) here

How to install:

Unzip to a folder.run installer.

if it errors use Device Manager.
From Device Manager,right click "Audio Device on HD",choose Update driver,
No to connect, Install from a list or specific location,

Select Don't Search, I will choose the driver to install,
For the Hardware Type select 'Show All Devices'
Remove the check from "Show Compatible Hardware" and click on "Have Disk".
Next...browse to the unzipped folder and choose the "WiSVHe5.inf".
Ignore XP when it complains.
Reboot.

Go to device manager, right click unknown device,

Choose to update driver, No to connect,

Choose install from a list or specific location, Don't search, Have disk,

Browse to the location of machine.inf.

Do it for the rest of unknown devices

every thing is now working very well in xp mce except

modem device on high definision audio bus and conexant HD-audio smartaudio 221, there are two entries for the latter, tried deleting one but it find it again and i tried installing it again but says error code 10,

any help would be apreciated, i tried all the drivers above and the ones that didnt works are the problems i am having
