HP MIE Restore Image Creator

I have been trying to create a bootable USB flash drive using HP's MIE Restore Image Creator.

I was able to download the recovery image until 99% and it hits this error:


I have changed to a different flash drives. The problem still persists. Anyone know what is the problem?
My flash drive is definitely not write-protected. I have changed the value in the registry editor.

Try disabling UAC temporarily while making the drive.

Is the flash dive at least 2gb?

Yup, I used 4gb and 8gb flash drive.

Start the image creator program with admin priveledges, right click on it and select "run as administrator"

Thanks for your suggestion~ but it didn't work

 I have given up on HP image creator. will try using other method to install XP via USB.

i too have this problem.

gets up to 99% then displays it "Cant access the physicaldrive."

tried reformatting the usb drive, still nothing.

helllllllp.

EDIT: after reformatting the drive manually, i tried starting the image creator again. it prompty displayed the error message, within 10 seconds of starting it. losing my mind...
