HP Pav. dv6604nr Entertainment PC------Drivers NEEDED for WINDOWS XP

I cleaned out Vista and installed XP home edition version 2002 service pack 2.

I now need all of the drivers.

Can someone please oblige or point me in the right direction? I already checked the driver section for this laptop and there doesn't seem to be enough drivers available for a full install.

thanks in advance,

Ted

Jonah's guide should have all you need (if you have Broadcom rather than Atheros  it is in Step 7):

******Clicking the White Kudos star on the left is a way to say Thanks!.******
**Clicking Accept as Solution on a Reply that solves your issue helps others who are searching**

Re: HP Pav. dv6604nr Entertainment PC------Drivers NEEDED for WINDOWS XP

How to install QuickPlay in Win XP:

First:

You need to make a registry hack to install it:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\QPFlag]
"QPFlag"=dword:00000003
"@"=""

If you dont know how to do it, just download,QuickPlay.zip, extract it with WinRar or WinZip, double click on it to run it.

Second:

QPW (QuickPlay) version 2.3 for XP here

Update to the final version of QPW for XP here

Skin update here

[ Edited ]

Modded Nvidia drivers ver 185.85.

How to install them in XP:
   1. Download driver here, double click and select extract,
   2. Download from this site with drivers also INF Modified and replace original INF in extracted folder,
   3. Install & reboot.
