I'm trying to upgrade to Windows 7 from Vista.
HP Pavilion dv4-1435dx
Having trouble with finding the Keyboard Filter driver and the HP Media Smart Music/Photo/Video.
I am trying to find them here for Windows 7 before I uninstall, so I can install after upgrade.
Could you help me with links, since I cannot find them.
Thank you a whole lot!!!

Keyboard filter is HP Quick Launch driver- be sure to uninstall it before upgrading. QL and Media Smart software is available on your support page:

Hi CherylG,
I followed the link you offered, but when I look under keyboard, mouse, and input device drivers, I still don't see HP Quick Launch driver.
Thank you for your quick response!
I don't know what I am doing wrong.
Kindly,
Portokalche

Either HP has mistakenly omitted the QL driver or you notebook doesn't require it after Windows 7 install. On one notebook I upgraded to Windows 7 it actually had the QL driver included in the install. If you don't have it after upgrading post back and we will get you the driver you need.

Dear CherylG,
I upgraded to W7 after uninstalling HP Quick Launch, and HP MediaSmart Music/Photo/Video.
I tried to install the HP MediaSmart MVP Software from my laptop's page, but doesn't work.
Also HP Quick Launch did not install with upgrade, so I do not have that one either.
So, I guess i still need your help.
Kindly,
Gergana

Oh woe. You probably should have just removed QL and installed the updated Media Smart software over the original before upgrading to Win 7. We see some problems with installing Media Smart after completely removing it. Did you install Smart Menu before trying the other downloads?
If you have your Vista Recovery Disk it may be worth it to revert to Vista, upgrade the Media Smart software, uninstall QL only and do the upgrade again.

Thank you for Quick Launch!
I didn't download Smart Menu, because I see it in programs.
How important is HP Media Smart Movie/Picture/Video?
How do I even know I need it?
Going back to Vista and upgrading to Window 7 again seems like a hassle, is that the only way to fix this if it's that important?
Thanks for all your support!

Media Smart Movie/Picture/Video is not important. You only need it if you use it to access photos, videos, etc.
