Hi,

First make Vista backup. How to do it all informations here.

Be sure that You are using WinXP SP2 version. If you haven't got SP2 version here you can download this service pack

and here You have got guide how to slipstream this file with Your system again by nLite.

In this program You can even burn Your new XP cd with this driver.

Re: HP Pavilion dv6809wm Xp Drivers Help

Hi Daniel,

I also have an HP Pavilion dv6809wm laptop and downgraded Vista to XP.  I cannot get the audio to work, went through your steps numerous times and it still does not work.  I do have Windows XP SP3 running on my laptop, does that make a difference?  Please help if you can, I have tried so many things for months to get the audio on this laptop to work and nothing so far.  When I go into Control Panel, Sounds and Audio Devices, it still says NO AUDIO DEVICES.  Do you have any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Pam

Re: HP Pavilion dv6809wm Xp Drivers Help

Thanks, but I ended up going back to Windows XP SP2, cause IE8 was going crazy in Windows XP SP3.  So now, the laptop is running SP2, do you have any updates for MS-UAA for SP2?   Conextant HD-Audio?
