HP Pavilion dv7-4190us drivers for Beats Audio and MediaSmart Webcam

Good day. I bought a Pavilion dv7-4190us last December 2010. I liked its audio quality a lot. However, I have recently formatted the OS due to some MBR problems. I have managed to get most of the software I need save for Beats Audio and MediaSmart Webcam.

For Beats Audio, I cannot find any on the driver page for my laptop model. For MediaSmart webcam, I downloaded and installed sp51029 but nothing happened. Anyone know what the problem is?

Re: HP Pavilion dv7-4190us drivers for Beats Audio and MediaSmart Webcam

Hi,

Regarding Beats Audio, download and install the IDT Audio driver on the link below as this should also install the Beats Audio interface.

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp50501-51000/sp50642.exe

After the installation has completed, restart the notebook.

For the Webcam, try installing the latest HP version of Cyberlinks YouCam on the link below.

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp54001-54500/sp54246.exe

Again, when the installation has completed, restart the notebook.

Regards,

Re: HP Pavilion dv7-4190us drivers for Beats Audio and MediaSmart Webcam

Hi,

Try the following method to see if you can install HP MediaSmart Webcam.

First, download the MediaSmart Webcam installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp51001-51500/sp51029.exe

Next, if you don't have an extraction utility installed, download and install 7-Zip

Now open your Downloads folder, right click the HP MediaSmart Webcam installer, select 7-Zip, select extract files and then click Ok.  Open the newly extracted folder, open src and scroll down until you see the setup application ( 12th from the bottom with a size of 310Kb ).  Right click this Setup Application and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation.  When the installation has completed, restart the notebook and see if the Wecam software has successfully installed.

Regards,

Re: HP Pavilion dv7-4190us drivers for Beats Audio and MediaSmart Webcam

Hello! I bought a Pavilion DV7  6b56nr. I'm really satisfied with the laptop. However, due to a bug in MS Windows Home Professional, I have to format it.

I work for HP Argentina, so I have the original Ms Windows Enterprise DVD to install.

Question is... Once I reinstall the OS, Beats Audio is downloadable for installation in this OS? All the other software is not quite important to me, but Beats Audio is awesome and I don't want to lose it.

Please your help! Thanks!

@lucioezequiel

Windows 7 drivers work in all versions of 7. You can get them by using link at top of this page-"Support & Drivers".

You also have a folder on the C drive titled Swsetup which holds all installers for drivers and apps.Copy it to a dvd or external usb hdd to use after format.

So, in other words, I can reinstall Beats Audio in my laptop after the format, right?
