Hi
I think I've to use the HP Protect Tools for using the fingerprint, but unfortunately it protects the BIOS settings with the windows user password.
Is there a way to use only the fingerprint option and nothing elese?
Thanks in advice.

CherylG asked about your product number in order to identify your notebook model.
i suppose you have a business notebook.
this is the right forum for these: http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/bizsupp
regarding your question: go to your notebook's download page (put your product number into the "for product: field" and choose download drivers and software here)
and install the most recent hp protect tools security suite, as well as the bios configuration for hp protect tools, and the credentials manager (fingerprint driver/software, if not already installed, too). then youll be able to choose what means of identification to use for what kind of access.
