So my fingerprint reader just stopped working out of no where. The light doesn't blink and the software does not recognized it at all when i swipe my finger. I went to the device manager to disable/enable the driver, which has worked in the past when my finger print reader stopped working. But now the device is gone and I cannot seem to get the driver back and I don't know where to download a new one from. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hello,
@bigdawg69, I see that you're having an issue with the fingerprint reader. It seems like you're having a software issue more than anything.
If you could before we get going please give me the full model name and number of the notebook you have. Once I receive the model name and number
I will send you a link to download the driver. Also, if updating the fingerprint driver doesn't work I would suggest recovering the program and driver through the recovery manager.
So, before we get into recovery anything I'll just wait for the notebook information and we can see if updating the drivers resolves the issue.
I look forward to your response. If you have any questions let me know.
THX
I really appreciate it!
Thanks!
I work for HP
