Having just recently bought my tx2540ea tablet laptop I did the usual bios and software updates via the HP software manager update program. However Windows Vista update is indicating that there are other updates more up to date than HP Software manager update program found. My question is do I trust the Windows Vista update program or will it break the functionality of HP specific hardware and software, like the dedicated buttons combinations?
And thanks in advance

Thank you for your speedy reply. I don't suppose you know what the normal delay is between windows and the HP releases of the same updates? A week or a couple of months? I would rather wait to know that HP has approved and fully tested the windows updates before I apply them.

Thanks for your reply but actually doesn't come across that they are just HP program files that HP wants to update as the couple of manufacturers updates that I had updated from HP were also replicated with the windows updates and the windows update seem to be newer? For instance the sound card drivers, network drivers and card reader drivers are the outstanding drivers.
Has anybody with this series of HP laptops installed the newer drivers from windows?
