Hi There
I have a HP Pavillion dv9218X and have just tried to upgrade from Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 RC. The installation was cancelled when the upgrade advisor had issues with the keyboard filter. This is caused by HP Quick Launch buttons software. I have removed this and attempted installation again. All was good although the process was painstakingly slow. The installation when right up to the last phase where applications etc are re-installed. It got upto about 73% and then froze (after a whole night). I did a reboot and was told that the upgrade was unsuccessfull and was going to roll back to Vista. It did this all fine and I am back to Vista. I have no idea why the installation was unsuccessfull and cannot find any reason. Upgrade advisor was happy etc. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Chintan,
Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 RC Support Forum located here http://tinyurl.com/9fhdl5 . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to post your question there as well for additional assistance.
Another great resource is Microsoft Springboard.

HP's Official Windows 7 Information Page | Microsoft's Official Windows 7 Site
If you already own a computer with Windows Vista you most likely won't receive a free/discounted Windows 7 license.
If you buy a computer after June 26th, you may be eligible for the free/discounted Windows 7 upgrade.

I have been running Windows 7 RC Ultimate 64-bit on my Elitebook 8530p. I have been looking for some of the software from HP to install and give a spin. The Lightscribe works and the QuickLaunch buttons work. The HP Protect Security worked for Win7 beta, but I have been unable to make it work for Win7RC.
I like how the Hibernate and Wireless Networking works so far. I can close my lid, stuff in my backpack, move to another meeting site and pop open the laptop and be working in less than a minute. Although, I notice that my Sidebar Gadgets don't refresh so well coming out of hibernation. I have to shutdown and restart the Sidebar Gadgets to fully render.
The more I use Windows 7, the more l like it. Its tough to go back to Vista.
