HP dv2700 laptop stops responding/freezes after running for 5 mins of connecting to internet

Hi guys!

I have a six month old HP Pavilion dv2700 Windows Vista laptop. I have put avaste anti-virus software, the free version. I had discontinued my internet usage for some days as I shifted my house. Now I have taken 256MB broadband connection (Airtel, New Delhi). Now everytime I log on to internet, it works for 5/10 minutes, and then stops responding. Even ctrl+alt+del does not respond! So I cant even end the non-responding program. It often happens while opening a new IE window or a PDF file.

Please help

What is the name of the antivirus you installed? Try removing the software or restore your computer using "System Restore"
