Thanks for any help.
I am trying to boot my laptop to safe mode by pressing f8 at start up. but I got only balck screen then the laptop starts beeping, which won't stop until I force shut the laptop off.
Seems something wrong. please help.

If you are still able to boot into a normal Windows there is a workaround.
In Windows search Programs and files box type "msconfig"
Select the Boot tab and choose Safe Boot as in the image below. Now restart the notebook and you should boot into Windows Safe mode.
Don't forget to go back into msconfig later so you will be able boot back into the normal Windows installation again. If you forget to do that it will always boot into Safe mode. ![]()
You did not state which operating system is installed in your notebook. The procedure is valid for Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.
