HP simple pass 2011 Fingerprint Data not opening

HP pavilion DV6 6156ea

Windows 7

 

I am using the DV6 6150ea with beats audio. Its been about 9 months now. I put in my fingerprint data when i bought the machine and  never had to access it again. However just now I wanted to access it again and I find out clicking on " managaing fingerprint data" or "use your fingerprint with windows" wont open up the program. The logo of HP simple pass 2011 Identity Protection v5.0 powered by Authentic shows up but the data wont open up. 

I had to acces it in the first place because I noticed despite swiping my finger the password and login wont load on to websites and i had to type them again and then again prompted to swipe a finger to login the next time with just a fingerswipe.

 

Can anybody please tell me what the problem might be? why the HP Simple pass 2011 Identitiy Protection data wont open up? I need to change the settings.
