Help with error/dll message

When I boot up or do a restart I get "Error Loading C:\Windows\SERVICE~2\LOCALS\~1\protect.dll
As i former Mac person I'm totally lost. This is a fairly new laptop and I'd like to keep it error free - if possible.

Hi Susan,
Its not good news if the system is missing one or more .DLL files. I would suggest you search for the file on the internet or possibly take it from your installation disks. It doesn´t exist under XP or Vista so you must be referring to AppleMac.
