Hey this is my first post so yea here goes,
I want the all the softwares that came with my laptop (ho-dv6-6178ca) when i bought it, but recently i reformatted my PC and installed a retail version of win 7 home pre. and now i cant revert back. I still have the d:/ drive intact and untouched but i noticed a base.wim file and i was wondering is there any way to use that file to restore my computer.
ohhh and btw the base.wim is round 20 gb
Thanks

1.Right-click on "Computer" icon and select manage.
2.This will launch the Microsoft Management Console.
3.On the left side of the MMC, click on "Disk Management" and it will show you all of the partitions.
4.Right-click on the "HP Recovery" partition and select "Mark as Active Partition."
5.When the warning prompt appears, select "Yes" - Reboot and it will automatically boot into the Recovery Manager (without pressing F11).

You can either install your drivers/software from your drivers page HERE OR, order Recovery Media from the page to restore the laptop back to factory specs.

I can see your screenshot now_you have added a partition & your hdd partiions have been converted to Dynamic instead of Basic.Possibly why you can't set it as Active.
