You should make a recovery disk set from within Windows first.
Start-->All Programs-->HP -->Create recovery media.
You will need to have five blank DVD-R good quality disks ready before you start this. Put the blank disks in as the recovery media creation programs tells you to do it. This is a one time Recovery disk set creation.
You should create the backup on DVD as well. You can restore the data to the notebook afterwards.

OK. Here is a link to a document with images and instruction on using the HP Recovery Manager in English. Even in the Spanish HP web support website the HP recovery manager images are in English although the rest of the text is in Spanish.
