How can I disable the touch pad - everything I do is eventually re-enabled? I use a wireless mouse on my Pavilion dv7 notebook. The OS is Window 7.

I don't have an enable/disable button so I have tried about everything (including uninstalling the driver) without permanent results - the touchpad is usually back after the next powerup. Perhaps there is an entry in a configuration file or the registry that says I must have a touchpad. I will try to lower the sensitivity as far as possible - I hate it when I am typing text and the cursor takes a flying leap.
