Immediately after powering on the laptop start tapping the F11 key to boot into Recovery.

I have a g60-230US and I have a virus that isn't allowing windows to start. It will go to "Starting Windows" then it will just go black, then go back to "Starting Windows" all over again. I can go to the startup menu, but I try and hit system recovery and it won't allow me to do that either. What should I do? Tap F11 or what? Please help ASAP.

Contact HP to order Recovery Disks.Usually less than $20. You will need the full model number and PN from the Service Tag attached to bottom of laptop to order correct set.(dv6000 is the series)

Hi,
The recovery disc can be order in worldwide?
Cause I bought the product in Malaysia but now currently in Australia. So if I contact and order from HP Australia, is that okay?

Does HP Recovery format only system disk (C: ) , or it formats all the disks?
I don't really want to lose evrything, but it says that it returns everything to original state, which probably means clean PC.

I read the info on your link above and the info you provided here.
When my HP Pavilion (dv6000, s/n: CNF71202TJ, p/n: RV216&A#ABA) restarts, it does not reopen the recovery manager. If I repeat the process, I end up in the same place after restarting in an infinite "do" loop. Any ideas on how to break the cycle?
