How do I find the touchpad on my dm3-1130us?

I have no idea why the touchpad on my laptop doesn't work.  I can't even find it in the device manager.  If I click on "Mouse & other pointers", my mouse is the only thing shown when searching in the Control Panel.  HELP!

You should have a Icon for Alps that has the settings for the touchpad. Do you have Alps software/driver installed? Alps HERE

If you do not find the touch pad in the device manager. There is a possibility that the driver is missing or is removed accidently. You can go to the following link

select you OS

and install the driver for the touch pad

Hi.  I think I have the driver installed...but I can't find the files.  I can download and run the *.exe file.  After that, I have NO idea where it's going.

Do you still not see an icon in Control Panel for Alps? Have you switched from 'Category' view to "Small icons' for Control Panel.If not try that to see if it is easier to find things there. When you open Control Panel look in right top side for "View by" and use the dropdown selector to switch to small or large icons instead of Category.

Have you looked again under 'Mouse' settings in Control Panel after installing the Alps software to see if added functions are there now?

 

Page 2 of your user manul has touchpad info. Do you have a light above the touchpad to show enabled or disabled? Have you tried pressing the button a couple of times to turn off/on?

Has the touchpad ever worked? It could be a hardware issue, are you still under warranty?
