Hi,
I have got new HP Mini laptop of model 110-3026TU. It has DOS OS in it. When i am trying to install Windows XP, it gave error message as
"Check for viruses on your computer. Remove any newly installed hdd or hdd controllers. CHeck hdd make sure properly installed and configured... Use CHKDSK /F to check for hdd corruption and then restart ur computer.
Technical Info:
Stop: 0x0000007B (0xF7A22524, 0x0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) "
Then I search in web and find SATA driver is missing in it. Then i Marge SATA Driver in Windows XP using nLite software.
Even though it not installing Windows XP.
Please help how to solve this problem.

Perform the following steps to enable SATA support:
Download the Intel Matrix Storage Manager software from
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericSoftware
Run it, by default it will save some files to C:\swsetup\SP32492 before it runs setup and tells you that the software is not supported on your chipset
Now open up a command prompt, go to C:\swsetup\SP32492\ and run the following command to extract the CAB files:
Setup -A -P C:\swsetup\SP32492\
Accept the license agreement, it extracts some files. The files you're interested in are now at C:\swsetup\SP32492\Driver\ and include the following:
iaahci.cat
iaahci.inf
iastor.cat
iastor.inf
iastor.sys
TXTSSETUP.OEM
Now go to Device Manager, under IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers you should see: Intel 82801GBM (ICH7-M Family) Serial ATA Storage Controller
Right-Click on that and select Update Driver
- Say no to connecting to Windows Update to search, hit Next
- Select Install fro a list or specific location (Advanced), hit Next
- Select "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install", hit Next
- Select Have Disk
- Browse to C:\swsetup\SP32492\Driver and highlight the iastor.inf file, hit Open
- Select OK
- Now you should have a list of controllers, for the Compaq nx9420 choose Intel 82801GBM SATA AHCI Controller, hit Next
- You'll get warned that installing the device driver is not recommended, click Yes to continue installing
- Click Finish
- Click Yes to restart your computer
When your computer boots up, you need to hit F10 to enter the BIOS. Change SATA Native Mode to Enabled, save changes and exit.
After you log into Windows, your computer will find the "new" hardware. Wait until you get the popup message to restart your computer, say Yes to restart one last time.

@Pankay, how they going to do this when XP is not installed yet, at least that is my interpretation.
@Varadharaj
Use driver packs to slipstream "Mass storage" drivers into the XP Install CD.

@Varadharaj
Hi,
You need to slipstream Intel NM10 SATA driver. Informations how you should do this and SATA driver you will find in pdf / doc file which is in point B of the link below:
SATA drivers for XP (solution on 0x0000007B BSOD)
Ps.
If you haven't got optical drive then the link below should be more interesting for you:
How to install Windows XP from USB flash drive.
Important note!
Use a fresh clean copy of the XP CD/DVD. Do not try to slipstream drivers using the same copy previously used.

Start all over again with another copy of XP.

Most of the drivers which are given for Windows 7 should work under XP too.
You may downoload them from here. If you will be any problems then just let me know about it.
