Hp Mediasmart Webcam will not open at all

Hello,

I really hope someone can help me with this issue because I have been try to troubleshoot and research the problem for quite a while now with no luck.

I have an HP Pavillion Entertainment PC, Model DV7-2273-c, running a preinstalled copy of Windows 7 Home Premium. I have had this laptop since right before christmas.

I hadn/t tried using the in screen mounted webcam at all until a few days ago. I booted up Hp Mediasmart Webcam and it appeared to be working just fine for a few minutes until all of a sudden the program just closed and ever since then the program will not open at all. When I double click on the icon it waits about 2 or three seconds then flashes real quick and nothing happens. For a while when this happened if I went to the task manager it showed the program as being open in the processes tab but the program was not showing any signs of being open at all. Now it does the same thing except now it doesnt show up in the task manager processes menu either.

My webcam shows in in the devices and printers menu and it says it has the most updated device driver when I attempt to update it. I have searched all over the net for a sollution to this issue and have had no luck whatsoever. Needless to say i'm very frustrated with this as this is a brand new computer. I really really hope that someone can help me with this.

Oh and I forgot its the 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium that came installed on the computer when my dad bought it

Hi,

Uninstall from Your system current Mediasmart Webcam version.

Uninstall or change a program in Windows 7

Download and install latest version:

MediaSmart Webcam here (version 4.0.2626  for 32/64 bit Win7)
