I want to downgrade my laptop from Vista To Windows XP 

and I didn't find necessary drivers for my laptop

Can any one help me to find xp drivers for my Laptop please.

Hi,

How to make a good XP CD:

Use Nlite to sliptream ICH9 sata driver.
A good guide to guide sliptream sata driver

ICH9 sata driver, the driver is located in iaAHCI.inf and is called ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller

If you haven't yet_Make your Vista Recovery cd/dvd ,then delete both partitions with XP installer.

Hi I had installed windows Xp and I m stuck at audio driver installatoion i had installed that Microsoft UAA but not able to install IDT Hd audio codec driver

Same here,i have recently bought my pavilion 1225ee and no doubt as per the instruction above xp was successfully installed,but i couldnt install the sound drivers.I almost tried every driver posted on the internet but failed.Any idea?

Hello Please help  me after installing Microsoft UAA i reboot the system and then try to installed idT audio driver and i m getting the following error

_exitError: Error=Device Object not present,restart the system and run setup again

There is also one USB device showing with the yello exclamation mark in device manager.I dont know which device it is

First of all, I would like to recommend you to stay with VISTA, downgrading to XP for this model may lead to limited functionality.

I do NOT own this model, wish for it , but not for now, atleast until windows 7 is released officially.

Since I do NOT own it, no real experience installing XP for this model.

Above posted IDT driver was uploaded 6 months ago, as you had reported, it was not compatible with dv4 models.

Please confirm the instalation of MS-UAA before installing possible working IDT drivers below.

How?

Check in Device Manager under System Devices to see if MS UAA installed properly.

There should be a listing for Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio.

If not, you should have a PCI with yellow!.
Right click it and Update Driver,
No to Connect, No to Search and last Install Automatically.

Uninstall the current IDT driver, go to device manager, right click and choose uninstall

IDT High-Definition Audio CODEC Driver,

1. sp41693, vista driver, reported work in XP here

2. sp39671, vista driver, reported work in XP here or here

Both drivers were known compatible for IDT chip in CQ40, CQ45, dv7, and dv5 models.
