Hp Pavilion dv5 recovery partiton not loading (F 11 )

Hello, i have a notebook hp pavilion dv5-1101en, i want to use my orginal OS that comes with my notebook, but when i press F11 nothing is happening.I'm not using the orginal OS that come's with my pc from a long time, and i lost my backup cd's, but now i want to use the original OS that comes with my computer.It's there a way to load the partition with the backups, the problem is when i press f11 and try to load the recovery partition it wont work, please help me to solve this problem

I am guessing but you have a different operating system on now and when you installed it, you probably formatted the entire hard drive. That would have erased the recovery partition. If you want windows 7 anyway, just buy an oem full version.

1.Right-click on "Computer" icon and select manage.
2.This will launch the Microsoft Management Console.
3.On the left side of the MMC, click on "Disk Management" and it will show you all of the partitions.
4.Right-click on the "HP Recovery" partition and select "Mark as Active Partition."
5.When the warning prompt appears, select "Yes" - Reboot and it will automatically boot into the Recovery Manager (without pressing F11).

Did you try CherylG's suggestion? If the partition is untouched, She is a genius and you will be able to do a factory fresh install!

Yes i try this, but again nothing is happening, just loading my windows 7 ![]()

That would mean you have two copies of windows 7 on your hard drive? If you followed the directions, you should be booting off the recovery partition and there should only be the recovery program there.

Here is how you can make a recovery disk but it won't give you your utility partition or recovery partition but you can use it to install Vista:
