Hi,
I have a HP Pavillion dv9500, which is unfortunately unusable.
There is some major problem with the graphics display.
I have given it to several PC Repair shops who say that they cannot fix it and it is affecting HP Laptops all over the world, they have seen the same problem hundreds of times.
Can someone please explain how to resolve this?
Who do I write to?
Thanks
Dan

If your laptop is still within warranty, contact your local HP service center.

Hi there,
Find a repair shop that can resolder the GPU.
I do this often ( i own a computer repair shop ).
The problem is very comon with the tx1000, but I am writing this to you on a DV9503 that up until last week was dead ( usual blue lights and nothing else).
The board will need to be stripped down to basics, cpu removed and the gpu heated to about 450º C evenly.
Check out motherboard resoldering on youtube.
With the tx 1000, a temporary fix is to power on and wrap it in a towel for an hour.
Sounds silly, but does work in 75% of cases temporarily.
Good Luck
