I work on computers and my cousin brought her F700 to me and said about 9 mths ago they took it to a repair shop because it kept shutting down, or wouldn't turn on. They told her the motherboard was shot and sold her a new laptop, Iwasn't working on everyone else's computers then. Since I have had it the thing has give me one problem, and I just took clean it out and checked to see if the battery was on the recall list. I read the problem might be with the graphics chip & gpu on the motherboard and the soder that was used on them. Can anyone help me here???

To my knowledge F700 is only in the list of Battery replacement program and not in any other recalls. Here is the link for more information on battery recall:

The F700 is one of the models known for gpu solder breakdown. I think it may have even been one of the models covered under the nVidia settlement, but the deadline for filing on that closed a few weeks ago.
