for this computer. Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer’s manufacturer. Setup will exit."
WELL, guess what? I was downloading it straight from the manufacturer's website (this site), specifically after choosing my model number (dv6-3225dx) too. My dxdiag says the last graphics driver update was 7/28/2010 and I bought the laptop in February 2011. I have windows 7 64-bit. And I contacted HP through phone but I'm out of warranty and sure as heck am not going to pay $99 to get this problem fixed. Are you kidding me, it's not my problem if HP put the wrong link for me to update my driver or something after choosing the correct model. If anyone can help me solve this problem I would APPRECIATE IT SO VERY MUCH. I also know about the option of installing the generic driver but read that if it doesn't work I'd have to go back to the customized driver, well then there's no point in even bothering to install the generic.
