Internal mic driver?

I recently upgraded my dv2000 pavilion from vista to windows 7 everything is working great expect for my mic,

When I go sound -> recording it says that Conecant High definition smartaudio HD2 is the default device.  I tried to use my mic on a video chat on windows live messenger but all the other person heard were my speaker.  What ever sound was coming out of my speakers i.e. music is what they heard,  How do u fix this problem? please help and thanks
