Laptop does not turn on!

[ Edited ]

Hey everyone,
Today my hp pavilion dv2500 laptop will not turn on. It was working fine the other day and now it won't even turn on. The charger shows a light but the computer will not turn on even when plugged in. No other lights are on besides the charger's light. I tried holding the power button down for various amounts of time without a power source then plugged it in and still nothing. It was at or nearly a full charge yesterday. However, I did use a 3 to 2 plug to plug my charger into a socket yesterday because the socket was only for 2 and my laptop has 3 prongs on the charger. My father told me that the 3 to 2 plug I used was bought in china only works for Chinese appliances. Could this have messed my laptop up somehow? Please help me with a do-it-yourself solution and if none work then give me a solution for someone else fixing it at a store or something. I would greatly apprieciate this, and contact me via my email or on this post if you come across this
Sincerely,
Randomname619
Email: [Personal Information Removed]

Re: Laptop does not turn on!

Well, I have the same issue and I thought I had it fixed but after sitting a couple days the laptop will not start agian. I removed and reseated the ram and it started but that fix will not work this time around.

It appears that since the first post was in November of 2011 and over 340 people have veiwed this post without any reply from HP, they could really care less about their customers and the customer issues!

Buy Dell, I think I will even point my clients to the ultra crappy Acer machines rather than providing HP with anymore business!
