Laptop repaired successfully - but with 2GB less RAM!

I have recently had my laptop (a DV6-1333sa) repaired by HP, which went pretty smoothly.

But I did notice that my repaired computer was running a little slower than before, so I checked the repair notes against the technical specifications for my laptop, and found that they had put in 2GB of RAM on the repair, when it should have been 4GB.

I then checked on my laptop, and sure enough, only 2GB was inside.

Whilst I am grateful for a speedy repair from HP, I really would like my laptop to run with the speed it was running with before my repair. Having watched some videos on the HP website / YouTube, I feel confident enough to install the RAM myself if it was sent out to me in the post.

Moderators - I have tried to find an email to contact HP about my problem and eventually ended up here, so apologies if this is the wrong place, but if somebody can help or point in the right direction I'd be grateful!

For anybody from HP - I can pass on the serial numbers / repair details upon request, it didn't seem appropriate to just include them in the post

Regards

Paul Taylor

Re: Laptop repaired successfully - but with 2GB less RAM!

Just buy RAM from Newegg.com

You can get better RAM for like $40.

The RAM HP installs is not that great anyway.
