Long Boot Process?

I have an HP Pavilion dv7 laptop w/Vista (it's only 1 month old).  It takes over 10 minutes to boot up.  Does anyone else have this problem?  HP Support can't figure it out and told me to restore the system to original factory settings.  I'm trying to avoid that so I don't have to reinstall my software, updates, etc (which takes forever).

Thanks!

Re: Long Boot Process?

Hi,

1. Clean cache.

2. Defragment your disk.

3. Check with antivirus(nod32 online).

4. Check with antispyware (Spybot -  Search and destroy)

Informations how to install and use Spybot You will find here.
