Looking for Windows 7 drivers for HP Pavillion dv6500

Apparently, there are not yet any drivers available for Windows 7 for my HP Pavillion dv6500 that I can find.

Can you anyone point me in the right direction to find these drivers?  I'm specifically looking for all software related to getting the fingerprint reader working as well as the software for HP Advisor.

I have a HP Pavillion Dv6500 and recently purchased a copy of the Win 7 Home Premium edition.

I've been toying with the idea of downgrading like many others to XP for some time now but decided to stick it out. the system needed to be rebuilt but i didnt think that i would have too many problems formatting the system as Win 7 uses the Vista kernel.

However, to my suprise Win 7 doesnt notice the SATA HDD and i cant find the AHCI drivers anywhere on the site for Win 7 - has HP finished testing these yet? i note that a thread existed a couple of months ago and they were waiting to be signed off / certified can someone assist me with locating the driver needed so that the HDD is picked up?

The issue i have is that i nolonger have an OS, i've just spent in excess of £100 on a copy of Win 7 to find that the drivers arent on your site and the machine didnt come with a copy of the Vista OS CD for me to re-install.

With Windows 7 been released now for more than 1 year and having DV6500 which meets all of the requirements for Windows 7, I can't believe that HP hasn't released the required drivers for the hp pavilion Models. Kindly release the drivers for the dv6500 for us to go ahead with the installation of the Windows 7. I've bought it based on the requirement being satisfied but now it seems NO DRIVERS are available. My 320$ investment is currently not being used. Kindly help us with this issue.

If you need any specific drivers that are still missing, please provide the hardware IDs from the device manager, properties of the hardware.
