MOV files in Windows Media Player in Vista vs. XP

I can play Mov files, which are small videos taken on a digital camera, in Windows XP using Windows Media Player, but not in Vista. Any ideas are appreciated.

Re: MOV files in Windows Media Player in Vista vs. XP

.mov files usually play in Quicktime or with their support.  Try installing the latest quicktime player.  If that fails, then you are probably missing the codec and there are several excellent codec packages available, the safest one coming directly from MS and there's also the Klite package.  Sorry but I can't provide the links right now.

Mov  is a multimedia development, storage, and playback technology developed by Apple Computer. You can play it with your Quicktime player, if you are mac user, you also can burn this MOV video to dvd, and play it on your DVD player : )

Step by step tutorial teach you how to burn mov video to dvd to play on dvd player.

Hope it helps !
