My Microsoft excel starter 2010 not working, will not open

I have a Pavilion g7-1273nr with window 7.  Earlier this evening my notebook had a problem starting up i got that problem fix but in doing so something happen to excel starter 2010. Now it will not open. There is a message coming up stating try again or go the control panel to fix it. I did that and it still not opening up.

           Sorry your computer had a mini dump. You need to reinstall Microsoft Office 2010 agian but when you insert Microsoft Office 2010 disk an option will apair Choose this Option: Repair Microsoft Office 2010 do not select install if you do then what documents you have made may be lost for ever.

        It is the only way to fix missing files that were dumped when your computer crashed. You are welcome frrw.

I have Microsoft excel starter 2010 so I dont have a disc to work with.  The error message says, "Try again or repair product in control panel".

Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > click the Office installation > Click Change > Repair. This will repair the installation. Could be an OEM version. You could do a system restore earlier.
