I have HP 3D Drive Guard.
What is the difference between that and the HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor? or is that what Drive Guard uses?
How do I know if I should or should not let Windows 7 install the HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor update from 5/28/2011?

Hi,
You're absolutely correct that the HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor is what Drive Gaurd uses to mointor the system - if it detects the notebook is in freefall, it parks the Drive heads in order to prevent damage to the disk - personally I would say it's well worth installing.
