Two questions.
(1) How do I keep the fan running constantly on my dv9543cl?
(2) I have an issue with drivers for my dv9543cl. I got most of them reinstalled from the HP wesbite, but I can't seem to go into Hiberrnate or Sleep mode. How do I get this going again? Also, I have been havingtrouble downloading the Quicklplay software from the HP website.
Any help is appreciated. Know that I reformatted and have lost my recovery pertition. Can't go back to factory settings and HP does NOT give enough software via the website to help people get their machines running.
thanks

Lack of Hibernate & Sleep is usually due to not having graphics driver installed. Have you installed NVIDIA GeForce Series Video Driver? HP doesn't offer QuickPlay installer as a download. There are links floating around somewhere...
As for fan_do you have latest BIOS?
Btw,I assume you are still running Vista?

I am running vista. When I install the graphics driver, I can't start windows normally because I get this strange screen with vertical, colorful lines. I think the graphics card is busted, but I am still using the laptop. Not sure how that works...I've looked for quickplay, but its not essential. I bought a new laptop and will sel this one off for parts. Out of warranty so I'm out of luck with getting a refund.
Thanks for your help. If you think it's possible to recover the graphics, let me know.
