Need Help installing Windows XP on HP Mini Netbook 110-1134CL

Just got this computer at Costco but it came with Windows 7 starter edition and I am trying to install XP Pro on it with an external USB CD drive but keep getting an error message saying no hard drive installed.

I did download the iaa.stor drivers from Intel and installed the using F6 from a USB floppy drive but keep getting the same error message showing no hard drive installed.

Can anyone help me? I need to get this installed by Thurs as I am leaving out-of-town by Friday - thanks!

Hi,

You need to slipstream Sata driver (Intel ICHM7).

After a big fight I found the correct drivers (for my mini) here  for the mini 110-1131LA the F6 driver is the 5.​​5.​​0.​​1035, thanks

I have been trying to Install the same system with windows XP too, but giving blue-screen error message, but installing Windows 7 is easy without this error, Please were you able to install Windows XP with no error message?

Hi,
Please write your notebook product number (p/n). You'll find it at the bottom of the laptop on a sticker.

I have the same problem with my HP mini (HP mini 110-3600ev). I want to install windows xp but when i try to install it, it says that there are no optical drives. I run the CPU-Z program and on the mainboard card it says:

Chipset: Intel Atom Host Bridge. What can i do now??

My  p/n is VA723UA#ABA, my hp mini 110-1025DX  doesnt boot all the way, I can go into BIOS but i need to change SATA settings which drivers do i need ? And is it possible to install them from a USB ?
