Hi, Kevin:
The dc7600 is not supported by HP for Windows 7. You can use the Windows Vista business driver below:
In order for your onboard speaker to work with W7, you need to download and install the latest Realtek audio driver:
Accept the agreement, download and install the first driver listed.

You're very welcome, Kevin.
As I posted to you once before, I have a dc7600 CMT running Windows 7 as well, so I am very familiar with the machine and what it needs to work with W7.
Mine came with the P4 640 processor, which I upgraded to the Pentium D 945 sSpec SL9QQ. What a difference in performance! I got a used but working Pentium D processor on eBay for less than $40. I haso am running 4 GB of PC2-5300 memory.
I wanted digital video out, so I got the nVidia 8400 GS 512 MB fanless card for it and that works great for me since I am not a gamer. It has more horsepower than the onboard Intel GMA 950 integrated video the card comes with, and the PC performs better since the video RAM is on the video card and not shared by the system.
