No music in HP MediaSmart Music

Hello,

the computer let me start up HP MediaSmart music but when it opens there is no music in it. When I go to settings (in the program itself) and press 'select folders' it shows the folders 'my music' etc. But the program wont let me click on them or drag them to the selected folders area, this used to work. So how do I put my music in the HP smediasmart music program?

Hi,

First of all, download the latest installer for Hp MediaSmart Music on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.

Next, download and install 7-Zip.

Now open windows Control Panel, open Programs and Features, find the entry for HP MediaSmart Music, right click it and select Uninstall.  When this process has completed, restart the notebook.

Now open your Downloads folder, right click the Hp MediaSmart Music installer, select 7-Zip, select Extract Files and click OK.  Open the newly extracted folder, open src, scroll down the list of files until you find setup ( 9th from the bottom with a size of 310Kb ).  Right click this and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation - this may take up to 20 minutes to finish.  When done, restart the notebook and check if the program now works correctly.

program re-installed, but it still won't let me drag folder to the selection area in the settings section.

I am no expert, but maybe there is a problem with the connection between the songs and the program itself?
