Hello,
How do I order an OEM disc for Windows 7?
I have looked at the HP worldwide contacts - and clicked on the link to Australia - but it is still unclear to me where to go once I am on the Australian website.
Thanks

Choose the phone number for "Support for all HP Products
except those listed separately above"
http://www8.hp.com/au/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.h
Btw, you usually get a set of Recovery Media to reinstall back to factory shipped status, not a plain Windows dvd.

Recovery Media is 4-5 dvds and they reinstall everything that originally came on the machine. Some newer models do have an option for Minimized Image Recovery which only installs Windows and drivers along with important software.

Are you saying that I should not bother requesting a backup of Windows 7 because if anything goes wrong I am likely to order recovery media instead?

Recovery Media contains a backup copy of Windows 7, along with the drivers/software that is original to your machine.
You also have software on the machine to burn an OS Recovery Disk set:
