PRESARIO C700 WILL NOT CHARGE

I HAVE A PRESARIO C700, S/N CND7382XDR, P/N GR983UA#ABA, SERVICE TAG C714NR, RUNNING WINDOWS VISTA HOME PREMIUM OEM ACT HP. I HAVE TWO OF THESE LAPTOPS BUT THIS ONE WILL NOT CHARGE OR RUN ON THE POWER CORD. IF I PUT A CHARGED BATTERY IN IT THE POWER LIGHT WILL LIGHT UP AND THE CHARGE LIGHT WILL LIGHT UP THE COMPUTER WILL RUN AND SAY THAT IT IS CHARGING AND PLUGGED IN. HOWEVER IT IS NOT CHARGING AND WILL RUN UNTIL THE BATTERY DIES THEN IT HAS TO HAVE A CHARGED BATTERY PUT IN IT TO RUN AGAIN. IS THERE ANYTHING THAT CAN BE DONE FOR THIS. I KNOW THE CHARGE CORD WORKS AS IT WORKS WITH THE OTHER LAPTOP.

Hi,

This may be a problem with power controller you will may to send the system for repair.

In very rare senario, it could also be an issue with BIOS.

HOW WOULD I GO ABOUT SENDING IT IN FOR REPAIR AND IS THERE A CHARGE FOR THIS?

If the system is under warranty then their is no charge but in case the system is out of warranty then their would be charge.

Normally HP system are shipped with 1year factory warranty and you can extend the warranty when the system is in warranty upto 4years from the date of purchase.
